Overview Supervise the planning of the company's global new products research and development strategy. Guide the Products R&D team to develop a forward-looking business strategy and product development plan to cater for the market trends and opportunities. Select and define the product category that the company should focus on. Direct the team to stay connected to the international market and the U.S. suppliers and customers to get first hand product data. Have a keen awareness of worldwide industry trends, consumer feedback, supplier evaluation and selection and competitor activity investigation. Supervise the team to cooperate with the marketing team to achieve the company's target proactively and efficiently. Instruct the team for competition monitoring and category research and development positioning. Supervise the development process from initial concepts through final products, manage all product quality and technology level and price elasticity analysis. Direct the team to attend relevant meetings or conferences with suppliers and customers for product trends reporting, competitive review, and ongoing industry forecast. Carry out periodic review of subordinates’ work performance and make recommendations for personnel, such as promotion or reward.
Identify key markets segment, new customers and new product category. Develop strategic relationships with our contract manufacturer and customers. Addressing business challenges and driving customer satisfaction through new products research and development. Make the new products research and development plan. Leverage experience in technical or engineering environments with a strong knowledge of pricing models in the electronics industry to manage supplier and customer interactions. Organize the quarterly business reviews meeting with our contract manufacturer Focus on the continuous improvement , quality assurance and price competiveness Follow through the whole product R&D process and ensure the project success Failure root cause analysis and corrective action plan development Promote New Rising’s value-added services, supply chain solutions, and full life cycle programs. To cooperate with International Project & Marketing Development Department Manager for the new products promotion.
Requirements At least 3 years work experience in new products R&D Rich knowledge in electronics component Bachelor or master degree in technical or engineering is a must Strong sense of responsibility Willing to take more responsibilities and can work under pressure Can read and digest datasheet of electronics component Failure analysis ability Good concept of PDCA , Lean and 6-sigma Strong sense of quality control and supplier evaluation
