Two tenants has a verbal argument and in order to prevent that from Turing to fighting, a third tenant called the Monterey Park police, hoping that the police would negotiate two involved parties and protect other tenants.
When the police came, the man who called the police(which is not the involved party) was handcuffed by the police without being asked before he was about to state the situation. IThen instead of dealing with the two involved parties the police started to broke into other unaffiliated tenants’ room and handcuffed them and force them out of the house, sitting on the driveway with their hand on their back. Among them there are a 12-year-old minor who needed to go to school tomorrow, a veteran with PTSD under medical treatment by then, and a 70-year-old man with colon cancer and diabetes who was taken by the police from toilet without pants (there was another man taken by the police from the toilet as well). Non of them are the two involved persons.
I asked the police office(A. Knox #493) if they have a warrant and he said ”My warrant is I’m the cops.”as shown in the video.
While we were on the driveway, I asked the officer (Martinez #468) what’s his name and badge number, he laughed saying “You think you are a lawyer?” I asked another time what’s his name and badge number and he said he don’t understand what I’m saying. I spelled the whole sentence and he said he don’t understand English.” The father kept saying “My child is 12 years old going to school tomorrow why you treat him like that.”repeatedly but ignored by the police. When we were out a few neighbors witnessed this and started to record. The officer (A. Knox #493) who appeared in the beginning of the video yelled at the lady (the lady said “yes ask him” in the video) who is recording stating that if they interfere their “investigation” they will be put into prison.
After witnessed by few neighbors they started to force us back into our room (contrary to that they forced us out by force at the beginning). Then they stared to investigate “deadly weapons”(said by the supervisor in the video when being asked, he said “we are investigating “assault with deadly weapons”) to all the unaffiliated tenants instead of the two involved parties. The only “investigation” they did is taking photos OUTSIDE of each tenants’ door (then why break into their room, force them out and overturn their personal property). The whole process takes less than 5 mins.

I asked if it is ok for me to stand on the stairs. He didn’t answer my question directly but said go back to room or he will put me into prison as shown in the video. Officer (A. Knox #493) hold my door (the lock is broken by the police) for a while preventing me from going out to record. I asked officer (Martinez #468) three times what’s his name and badge number and he didn’t answer. He then showed V sign to the man he took from the toilet without pants who has colon cancer and diabetes. Then he left saying “have a nice day”. There are more officers participated including the one shown at the las clip of the video. They left finding nothing about the damaged properties and electronics but they didn’t do their “investigation” on them or on where they located. All the lock are broken and next day is Monday tenants need to go out work.
